UvA-wide programmes
Learning from Differences
At the UvA you'll meet lots of people with different opinions and points of view. In the online course ‘Learning from Differences’ you'll discover in just 15 minutes how we deal with different perspectives at the UvA. You'll learn why political disagreements aren't easily resolved, which views you hold yourself, and how to start a conversation with people who think differently.
Meet Your Mentor (Dutch)
The Meet Your Mentor programme pairs third-year Bachelor's and Master's students from non-western backgrounds with a mentor from the business world. With the mentor's help, you can better prepare for life after your studies and discover exciting career opportunities.
International Mentor Programme (English)
This International Mentor Programme offers international Master's students an opportunity to explore the Dutch job market with guidance from mentors working in the Netherlands.
University Diversity Sounding Board
The UvA has a diversity sounding board, the University Diversity Sounding Board. Visit the University Diversity Sounding Board page for more information and to join.
National projects
ECHO Award
The ECHO Award is a national award presented every year to students with a non-western background who are committed to making the world more inclusive. The UvA can nominate students each year, who then have a chance to win an all-expenses-paid summer course at the University of California, Los Angeles.
